I’m going to start this review by saying that the KRUPS KT600 makes a great pot of coffee. This machine is pretty straight forward. All it does is brewing great coffee. It doesn’t have all the fancy features that other coffee makers have, but that depends a lot on what you’re looking for in a coffee maker. All the extra features might have changed the entire concept behind the Silver Art Collection. The KT600 is simple, efficient and looks extraordinarily great. It’s almost a piece of art, as the collection implies.
The lack of extra features is something that might hold some people back from choosing this coffee maker. For the same price you could get one with more extra features; but you’re not sure about the main aspect, the quality of the coffee, which is why anybody would purchase a coffee maker in the first place. This coffee maker offers a great value for money, it does very well what it’s supposed to do, plus it looks gorgeous on any counter top.
It comes with a thermal carafe, that is a bit oddly designed. You don’t notice it from the exterior but you have to turn it all the way around to get the last drips out. But, on the other hand, why would anyone try to get out the last drips when another fresh pot is just one push of a button away. The carafe will keep your coffee hot for hours, so you can enjoy a fresh cup later during the day as well. The pot might also have certain chemical odors when first taken out of the box. It’s generally a good practice to clean out any receptacles where any food or beverages are prepared. If the odor still persists after you cleaned it, you can put some vinegar in it and leave it until the next day. This will surely eliminate any possible odor.
- Makes a great pot of hot coffee;
- You don’t need a burner thanks to the thermal carafe that keeps the coffee hot;
- It has a very modern, elegant and simple design;
- It’s easy to clean and maintain;
- Works well for extended periods of time. Other people who have bought the KRUPS KT600 have said it worked after a year as it did on day one.
- Oddity of the interior design of the pot.
